Jack is a senior associate in ERA Legal’s Insolvency & Reconstruction/ Commercial Litigation Group, a team focusing on personal and corporate insolvency and reconstruction. Jack has a broad disputes practice, with over 15 years’ experience covering banking and finance, insolvency and construction matters. He is experienced in conducting litigation, arbitration and mediation in these areas.
Over the years, Jack’s work has recently encompassed regulatory and dispute resolution in the financial services arena and assisting clients with legal and regulatory risk management, in addition to his core disputes work.
He has advised clients on disputes and regulatory matters in or involving Greater China, the US, the UK, South-East Asia and Australia.
Formerly an in-house lawyer in the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission and the Listing Division of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong, he advised the Commission and the Exchange on numerous matters relating to the performance of its regulatory functions, focusing in particular on cases involving compliance, discipline and enforcement.
Since returning to private practice, he has acted for listed companies, their directors and market professionals in relation to complex legal, regulatory and reputational issues.
In relation to insolvency, he has advised on companies winding up, bankruptcy and receivership matters, and has advised and acted for liquidators in recovering assets.
He speaks fluent English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
